breastfeeding journey [episode; what i choose]

last saturday i went to midvalley with medela mini e sticked in my mind. memang nak beli itu dan x ada rasa nak fikir panjang as i think it is amongst the cheapest with good brand [with spare parts here and there, of course]. walaupon 95% reviews i read complaints about its noisy sound, i buat x kesah. tapi bila choices ada depan mata, i menjadi rambang antara dua. eh eh rambang mata ye, bukan seks rambang. sekeh kang! sebab x tahu nak pilih between medela mini e and avent isis iQ uno, i pulang dengan teka-teki, dan tangan kosong.. ha, avent isis iQ uno tu camana pulak boleh masuk wishlist as that one bukanlah amongst the cheapest as the price dah double [yet amongst the most reliable!].. hmm gara-gara its 3-in-1 feature; can go mains, battery, and manual. so i guess it still worth buying.

hubby suggested to buy avent. yessss, that means budget for new bp dah up lah kan.. ngeee~~ *smile ear to ear* tapi masa tu kami dah out from midvalley and tengah lepak-lepak di rumah wak. hubby ajak pergi aeon after that tapi i said no, no. if i want to buy something more than rm800, i will surely buy from mothercare. sebab dengan cara itu je baru i get chance dapat membership [gara-gara x ada barang sangat nak beli kat sana to achieve membership terms and conditions]. hahaha atas alasan karut macam tu je, i sanggup postpone seminggu lagi.

so there i was, searching internet market sementara menunggu weekend datang lagi. hubby was at the closest point to buy me an avent bp from ebay when i tetiba rasa alang-alang membeli why dont i go for double pump?? to be honest, it just comes out of nowhere, langsung x ada dalam fikiran before this. ye lah, tetiba pulak nak double pump. actually i dont need anything like that, not only because i love simple and high portability ones, but also i have more than enough time to pump - so i claim that i dont need to cut time into half but with double the price. tapi after reading too many positive feedback about double bp, yang secara teori dan terbukti, bahawa double bp bukan saja boleh balance-kan both breast's milk supply [which i am not], but have high efficiency in increasing milk supply day after day [which i am yahoo to hear it].

so i beralih kepada double pump, with avent isis iQ uno still somehow listed in my wishlist. went through medela freestyle which most mothers claims as the best in town, but the price really cost me a bomb. so i downgrade to medela mini e plus which cost lower [even lower than avent isis iQ uno]. but it only have adjustable suction, kekerapan pump per minute not adjustable one, serupa jugak macam freestyle. only have one cycle speed option. meaning either dont have stimulating phase [milk let-down] or doesnt have expressing phase [milk release]. and, both sound like errr, lawn mower, hehe no offense. but actually what makes me say definite NO for this both handfree and handheld bp is that they do not practice closed system. read more about it here. as someone who work at healthcare facility, i had enough watching babies warded because of viral and bacterial infections due to lack hygiene practice. dalam pada kita pulun menjaga pon baby masih dikira susceptible, so i choose as best as i could, not only considering myself, but baby too.

so that is when i dreamed of ameda lactaline personal a.k.a ameda purely yours [in UK] which is not only affordable [still in our budget] but it has criteria i'm looking for - a closed system. and, both suction and cycle speed boleh adjust, which is yeay!! the only 'but' of this pump is hand-held. but hey, we dont need both hands to hold both bottles, ada cara pegang dua-dua bottles guna satu tangan that you will master in no time punya. tapi if one would like to convert this hand-held double bp into handsfree ones, boleh beli bottle-hanger bra.  check them out here. and tadaaa.... dapat tangan percuma! now i am thinking of hmmmm should i have that hanger bra?? agak-agak hubby kasik beli tak?? err before that, kalau guna that bra hang about 4-5oz multiple times per day, lama-lama breast landur tak?? just concern je lah.. if the answer is YES, or MAYBE, then i x nak lah. hiks~
