the run

while paying a lot of interest on biggest loser reality show on the hallmarks channel, i was running seriously on my treadmill. a day before, considered the first day of serious run, i ran...urm okay, not ran, fast walked actually, for 1.6++ km [only] for 3x inclination [let just assume x = time i press the up-incline button, i actually unsure of the unit]. i succeeded the series after about 30 minutes and almost had no sweat. so i expected to have no calorie burnt. ceh! anyway i should give myself a space to adapt to this new hobby, let my body's anabolism and catabolism adjust well, and same goes to my muscle to avoid any injury. because my principal is; to gain healthy in the healthiest way. aha! never forget i am a biochemist.. *wink*

so this time i had an intention to increase the workout level. from 5 minutes, i took only two minutes to warm up before i start walk fast at consistently 4.5-5.5 km/h with 3x inclinations. found myself being in comfort zone, i considered to start my first jogging on that plane at 6.0 km/h at 6x inclination for 20 minutes non-stop. owh i love those sweat that rained cat and dog! never been that wet, i am now know how those contestant in that reality show could ever sweat during their workout, it may be caused by the higher and higher inclination they try to put into the workout.. guess only. anyway it is proven that the setting of higher inclination is the way to burn calories faster. and i start to love it, even my top i wore had no more pieces for me to wipe those non stop sweat.

so i thought of my muscle already reached its anaerobic state, that's when i slowed down. i finished at 2.229km after 25 minutes. still a small amount but i take it as an improvement. moreover i believe not so many of you out there could run more than 1.5 km without muscle pain at night. while i dont. the secret?? simple.. i applied what i'd learn in biochemistry lectures especially in protein metabolism, thanks to Dr. Fuad! i cant wait to see any back-movement of my scale pointer. im hoping like hell for that. 3 kg and im done. that's all i want [to be in minimum ideal BMI] even though i hv nothing to worry about at my current weight. ehe~ i just dont care.
